Unlock and download Samsung Galaxy phone data when LCD is broken

If your phone turns on but the touch and LCD are not responding then this video will show you how to open your phone and access it through your television. If you plugged in your phone to the computer but no data files are showing is it probably because your screen is locked. This will allow you to unlock your phone.
You will need an adapter - cost about $17 on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U..., a mouse with a scroll and USB port.
If you want to use your phone while you wait for another then go to setting-My Device-Call settings-Answering/ Ending Calls and select Home key to answer calls and Power Key to end calls.
You can also make a call by double tapping the home button and saying, "Call _______" and the phone will access your contacts.
It is not perfect, but it works until you can get a new phone.
Total cost: less than $20!

SOmeone just posted they used USB C HDMI Adapter JAVONTEC Multiport Type C Hub (https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-JAVONT...) and also bought a mouse from amazon. It worked with their Samsung S8
