U.S. Empire and an Immigrant's Counternarrative - Dr. Laura C. Chávez-Moreno, Postdoctoral Scholar at the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies who will join the UCLA César E. Chávez Department of Chicana & Chicano Studies Faculty as an Assistant Professor, has written an article challenging American Teachers to historicize U.S. imperialism in their research and practices. Dr. Chávez-Moreno asks us all to embrace a more humanizing narrative, which is timely, as we start to reopen schools nationwide.
