How to import bulk orders using a spreadsheet in TC Wealth?
Select the ‘Trading’ option from the left-hand menu panel and select the ‘Draft Orders’ tab.
You will notice the ‘Import’ button on the bottom right of the screen.
Simply click on the ‘Import’ button to import your spreadsheet.
In the dialog box, you’ll notice some templates and guidance on the ‘Template File’ used to enter your orders to import and a ‘Field Information’ guide on the dictionary you will need to follow when entering the orders into the spreadsheet template.
When you are ready to import your spreadsheet, select the ‘Choose File’ and navigate to where the CSV file has been saved or you can simply drag it in here.
A preview of the Draft Orders will be displayed to show you the status of the initial basic checks to ensure you have followed the Field Definitions correctly and for the orders to be processed to the next step.
If you are ready to proceed, simply click on the Save Valid Draft Orders button. You will notice the Draft Orders has been successfully saved and the orders will be shown in the ‘Draft Orders’ section, ready for submission.
Filter through the status to view orders that may have triggered a warning, or an error has occurred during processing and requires a review.
You can individually select the orders you want to submit to market or select the check box on the top left to Tag All orders.
Using the filters will make it easier to set all orders in ‘Ready’ status quickly.
You can now view the orders that has been tagged, ready to be submitted.
Select the orders and click on the Submit button to send the orders into the market. During this process, the orders will be individually processed and sent through the system. While the orders are processing, a status will be shown on the bottom panel showing the number of orders successfully processed and sent to the market and orders which may have triggered a trading warnings or errors due to the vetting checks.
Successfully orders will be displayed on the open orders tab and any orders filled will be displayed on the completed orders tab.
To review the Errors and Warnings, highlight the orders in the preview page.
Warnings will require you to either ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’. Selecting ‘Accept’ allows you to proceed with the processing and submit the order to the market. Selecting ‘Reject’ will remove the order from being a Draft order.
Typically, orders that are displayed with an Error are triggered if an order has been placed too far away from the market and requires you to review.
Draft Orders that have errors are required to be deleted, corrected and re-imported. You can simply use the status field to filter by ERROR status to export these orders, amend the orders and then re-import the spreadsheet for submission again.
Orders that have been successfully placed in the market, you can view them in the Open Orders tab or Completed tab if they are fully filled.
