The premiere of the first version of the ax7 crossover model took place on the Russian car market back in 2016 and aroused quite a lot of interest. Initially, the SUV was produced in four modifications, but since 2018, the production of Comfort and Premium models was discontinued.
Now the updated Dongfeng AX7 2021, which received the pro prefix during the restyling, is available in 2 modifications: Luxury and Prestige. Both models have rich equipment, stylish design and an excellent safety system for the driver and passengers. The new model differs from the usual Chinese crossover in its original appearance, which has become more sporty and bright.
The length of the Dongfeng AX7 Pro has increased by 5 mm, reaching 4,650 mm, but its other parameters have remained the same: the width remains at 1,880 mm, the height is 1,690 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,715 mm. The minimum ground clearance is 160 mm, and the curb weight has reached 1,625 kg. The volume of the trunk, which can accommodate up to 565 liters of luggage, is also pleasing. But this is far from the limit, because with the rear seats folded down, the space increases to 1,572 liters.
The 2021 Dongfeng AX7 Pro received an updated radiator grille and front bumper, as well as contrasting red decor framing the fog lights. Depending on the configuration, the car is equipped with 17 or 18-inch wheels with alloy wheels.
Dongfeng AX7 Pro in a new body is equipped with a 2-liter 4-cylinder DOHC power unit, regardless of the selected configuration. Engine power is 140 hp at 6000 rpm. The maximum torque reaches 200 Nm at 4000 rpm. Such an engine consumes 8.7 liters of fuel for every 100 km in a combined cycle. The 2021 Chinese crossover can accelerate to a hundred in 13.2 seconds. The maximum speed reaches 185 km / h.
For Chinese cars of 2021 Dongfeng AX7 Pro of any modification, the manufacturer provides a warranty for 3 years or 100,000 km of mileage. It is worth saying a few words about the chassis of the crossover. It is represented by a suspension with MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear.
