Method 1: click on the language icon on the taskbar - select an appropriate keyboard from the list. US and UK Keyboards have different keyboards and different characters. Just selecting a language without looking for keyboards will land you in trouble!
Method 2: Click on More Keyboard settings on the language bar - add language - double click to select a language - install . Then select the keyboard from the language bar on the task bar.
