Sublime Text 4 contains not only new features, but also performance enhancements as well. One of those relates to syntax highlighting, which is disabled in large files for speed. What if you commonly work in large files and want to fix this issue?
What was this change and why was it made? This video explains that and how to get Sublime Text 4 to syntax highlight large files.
In development build 4110, the setting "syntax_detection_size_limit" was added to control this feature, and the default value was bumped from 4mb tp 16mb.
If you're using that version of Sublime, change the setting as appropriate (0 turns this optimization off). If you're not using that version, this video outlines a very simple plugin that will get you up and running again.
