How to use old smart phone as webcam for free, iPhone or Android
I bought a new computer but unlike a laptop it doesn’t have a Webcam out of the box. Instead of buying one, I turned an old phone into one using an App and designing a mount for my monitor that I could 3d print.
You can use your daily phone if you want, just be aware it may drain your battery pretty quick. I chose DroidCam because the developer is based locally and has made a lot of money off the premium version, you can use what ever app you like just make sure they are a trusted developer and your data is secure.
