Michael Jimenez Sculpting on West Cliff
This spring I saw Michael Jimenez carving this sculpture on the cliffs overlooking Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz. He explained how he saw the potential of the figure in a fallen limb and had begun to help her emerge. He was not finished yet, and was letting the wood tell him what was next. The sculpture is a gift for his fiancee, and I'm thinkin' she must of loved it.....
