Chuck Yeager's Air Combat - 3 EPIC Dogfights! [For Macintosh]
Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, Mac version. This is the ultimate version of this outstanding and still very playable flight simulator developed by Brent Iverson, and published by Electronic Arts.
In this video I'll be playing one of the distinctive modes in the game, 'Create Mission' mode where you can create dogfights with all the planes available in the game, even mixing up the eras.
0:00 Main menu
Dogfight 1:
0:29 FW-190 vs 1 P-47D and 1 P-51D
Dogfight 2:
4:21 Mig-15 vs 5 F-105D
9:31 Replay
Dogfight 3:
15:54 Mig-21 vs 5 F-4E
19:37 Replay
25:38 I suddenly noticed that there's a survivor, and it was not going to give up!
26:12 Back to action, surprise ambush by F-4!
This last dogfight shows that the AI in CYAC is capable of doing some unordinary stuff. The sole F-4 managed to change its tactics on the fly, break away and create a distance to use Aim-7 Sparrow to his advantage. The exact tactics that I used before in 'First Fishbed Kill' videos and in the 'Air Duel' video. Thus, I was put in a very disadvantageous position where my IR guided missiles were useless. The result: no survivors in that engagement.
Notes: emulated in Basilisk II. Shot down aircraft dynamics is not properly emulated in Basilisk.
