How's construction progressing in the summer of 2023? A self-builder's report.
Lately, I've been getting a lot of questions about progress at the construction site, including two of my own. The answer is simple: slow.
But there are results, so we're launching a monthly column, "DIY REPORT."
In these videos, I'll be compiling all the information that wasn't included in a separate segment, discussing my (Napoleonic) plans, and sharing the results of my work.
Topic of today's report:
Engineering for the second section. During the very first stages of construction, I try to anticipate all possible utility layout scenarios. Water, electricity, and sewerage, of which there are three: main, drainage, and storm.
We're actively laying pipes in the ground, including fire protection. Backup liners are also available.
The main house is 70% glazed (all interior work has been postponed until winter). Since the heating system is completely closed in the summer, the heating system is completely closed.
Main site utilities, intercom, low-voltage power supply, gate power, garden outlets, irrigation, etc. This is also an important part of site preparation, which everyone remembers only at the last minute, when it's too late.
