From a very early age, I started going fishing with my father. The world of fishing captivated me forever and hasn't let go to this day. For me, fishing isn't just a hobby, it's a way of life. It so happens that in addition to fishing, I'm also interested in music, writing songs, playing the guitar, and when I I'm fishing, and my soul is singing, literally and figuratively. What kind of fishing do I like, you ask? Any fishing trip or nature trip is a holiday for me. My favorite fish are carp, pike, crucian carp, zander, catfish, and other species. My channel, "NOTES ON THE HOOK," is about fishing in wild bodies of water, lakes, rivers, and the lower Volga. I really enjoy catching carp and wild carp. In 2008, I first saw boilies and learned the unfamiliar word "carp fishing," which is unfamiliar to Russians. I became hooked on this type of fishing. Over the past 12 years, I've been to many different places, and my personal best is a carp weighing 20 kg (44 lbs). I also hold records for zander, catfish, and many other species. I love fishing and being outdoors, I love cooking outdoors, and my channel is my outlet, my brainchild, something I really enjoy doing—fishing and filming my fishing trips.
