I'll show you how I restore the thread of the drain hole in the aluminum crankcase of a moped. The thread here is originally 12, and now I'm restoring it to M14 with a pitch of 1.5 mm. I bought a 12.5 mm drill and a tap. I also bought a bolt from which I will make a new plug.
