Using Google News offline is limited but possible if you prepare in advance while you're still connected to the internet. Since Google News pulls articles and headlines in real-time from a variety of online sources, the app itself does not have a built-in offline mode. However, you can still read some content without internet access if the pages are preloaded while online.

To do this, open the Google News app on your Android or iOS device while connected to the internet. Browse through the articles you’re interested in and tap to open them fully. Once the article is loaded, it remains temporarily cached on your device. You can then disable your internet connection—either by turning off Wi-Fi or switching to airplane mode—and continue reading the preloaded article offline.

This method works best when you're planning to be without internet access for a short time, such as during a commute or while traveling. You’ll need to manually open and load each article you want to read ahead of time. Once the app is closed or your device reboots, cached content may no longer be available, depending on your phone's settings and cache limits.

On some Android devices, you can also use the "Download" or "Read later" features in your browser to save full web articles if the original link opens in Chrome. This allows you to access a static version of the article from your browser downloads folder.

Keep in mind that you won’t be able to refresh your feed, load new stories, or access embedded media like videos while offline. Google News is designed primarily for online use, so offline access remains limited to what’s already loaded into memory.
