Concept Of Parameter Files:
A parameter file is a file that contains a list of initialization parameters and a value for each parameter. You specify initialization parameters in a parameter file that reflect your particular installation.
Types of Parameter Files:
Oracle supports the following two types of parameter files:
1.Server parameter file (SPFILE)
2.Text initialization parameter file (PFILE)
Location Of Parameter Files:
SPFILE: E:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database
PFILE: E:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database
Create Text initialization parameter file(PFILE):
Command:sql-create pfile from spfile;
Create Server parameter file (SPFILE):
Go shutdown mode
sql-shutdown immediate
Command: sql-create spfile from pfile;
