My go-to daily backpack has been the SkipHop Forma because I love how it packs, but I missed having something that felt a little pretty. I really like this one for the price point! Was pleasantly surprised to discover that it has no smell. (You know what I mean?) The zippers function smoothly.
The faux leather is a nice texture and definitely has some slouch to it. I had to help it breathe a little from the box, and find some form. Once it was packed, it was able to sit up on its own. I love that it has two insulated bottle pockets on the inside of the bag!! I always use the outside pockets for sunglasses haha, so now I actually have somewhere for my kids’ cups lol.
Diapers fit really nicely in the outer front pocket which is super convenient. The double zipper allows you to see everywhere inside the bag which I LOVE. It also doesn’t fall open too far because of the inner side structure.
After filling all the inside pockets, I still had room in the main compartment of the bag which usually doesn’t happen in my experience. I have all my essentials in here right now and could still add a layer on top if I needed to pack a change of clothes for all the kids. Books fit wonderfully in the inside back pocket. I always carry several for my kids, and the ones shown in the video are some of our larger ones for on the go.
Some things that I wish were different: the top handle for picking up the bag is narrow and doesn’t fit my hand easily. I wish it had a pad sewn on the inside of the handle to make it wider and just a little more comfortable, but it also might loosen during use. The backpack straps are adjustable which is good, and I have them set to the smallest level. If you slide the backpack off, it’s possible to loosen the strap by hitting that buckle and would then need to be readjusted. Not a big deal, and could be fixed by just sewing them in place if I don’t want to adjust the length. Those are the only things I’ve found so far that I don’t completely love. Everything else is super exciting! I like that I have an inexpensive bag that functions similar to my favorite bag, but feels just a little bit nicer. 💛
