How to See First Message on Messenger Without Scrolling !
In this video, we show you how to see the very first message in a Facebook Messenger conversation without endlessly scrolling. Whether you’ve been chatting with someone for months or even years, finding the first message manually can be time-consuming. Luckily, there are a couple of quicker methods to jump to the beginning of the conversation more efficiently.
Start by opening your Messenger app and selecting the conversation in which you want to find the first message. Once you're in the chat, tap the name of the person at the top to open their profile-related settings. From here, look for the “Search in Conversation” option and tap on it.
Now, if you remember a specific word or phrase from the beginning of your chat history, type it into the search bar. Messenger will highlight and allow you to jump directly to that part of the conversation. If you don’t remember the exact words, try using general terms or phrases you think were used early on.
Another trick you can try is typing a date format (like “January,” “2020,” or “12/31/2019”) in the search bar if you roughly remember when the conversation began. While this doesn't always land on the very first message, it can help you get much closer to the beginning of the chat thread.
Currently, Messenger does not offer a built-in "Go to First Message" button, so using the search feature or accessing your messages from a desktop browser (where you can scroll faster or use browser tools) remains the best alternative.
