The 30th Annual Thrangu Mani Dhungdrup Puja, 2024
(Recitation of 100 million Mani Mantras of Avalokiteshvara)
March 30 to April 8, 2024

The Hundred Million Mani Puja is held annually at SMD School in Tinchuli, Boudha, with the blessings of V.V. Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. During the ten days of the puja, participants join in the chanting and recite the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara’s mantra Om MANI PADME HŪM. The primary aim of the puja is to recite this mantra collectively one hundred million times and dedicate the merit for the long life and good health of H.H. the Dalai Lama, H.H. the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, and all the other great Dharma masters as well as for all beings to enjoy good health, long life, prosperity, happiness, and world peace. This year in particular, we will supplicate for the swift return of our precious guru Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and dedicate the merit to the swift end of all ongoing wars and famines. On the last day, Venerable Tulku Damcho Rinpoche will bestow the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara.
All devotees are welcome to participate and dedicate the merit to the elimination of illness, war, and hunger in our world. Your participation will help us reach the goal of 100 million mani mantras for the wellbeing of others.

Time: 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
Duration: March 30 to April 8, 2024 (Ten days)
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided for all participants.
Free transportation will be provided to and from Swayambhunath and Thamel.
