Behind the Scenes: Draft vs Final [Earphones recommended!]
This is something I've been wanting to do, since I really enjoy seeing the evolution of how a video edit goes from the first draft to the final version.
I usually send the first draft to Filo to check if a video idea is worth pursuing (that's why sometimes the draft would only contain text frames), and I adjust the edit based on her comments.
Here are some editor notes of each video covered in case you're interested!:
Archon Chef:
Changed music from a flute as lead melody to a violin. Made the melody a bit closer to 'a minor version' of the Genshin main theme.
Draft used text-to-speech for Kokomi's voice as a placeholder. Recorded Kokomi's lines for the final version
Teppei Tribute：
Changed music (and mood in general) from classical lighthearted music to Inception epic music
The Nightmare of Windtrace:
Changed intro to feature characters hiding instead of Mona sprinting menacingly
Added glitch transitions
Morax Mining Commercial:
Dropped Hutao's scene
Adjusted music so that it has a more definite ending
