Marking offset lines along the alignment

Hello everybody, welcome to video session on how to create an offset line alignment drawing.
In the previous video, we have learned how to import alignment lines from CAD and how to populate Cross Section data along an alignment. We can also create offset lines from CS Template points along the alignment.

In the CS Template creation process in the ‘CS Template’ window, there is a provision to Name each of the points. When we create standard templates, they will have names for all the points. If you have created a cross-section template on your own, then if you want some of the points to be represented as an offset line along with an alignment then go and give a unique name to each such point. If we have names given to point in CS Template then we can create respective offset lines.

Select the ‘Offset Layers’ button in the Plan tab under align Plan window. Here all the names mentioned in the ‘CS Template’ will be listed. Select the Names for which you want to draw the offset line and click on the ‘Apply’ button. When you refresh the alignment plan you may note that respective offset lines are created along with the alignment.

Thank you so much for watching this video. In the next series of videos, you will learn how to print cross-section and generate related reports.
