KRITIKA & RISHAB'S TALE OF TWO DREAMY WEDDINGS
My husband, Rishab, and I are advertising professionals and together we are known as @wegoaldiggers! When we now look back on our journey, we realize how it was just meant for us to be together!
We are both from Delhi but met for the first time in Amritsar in 2013 when I was shooting for an album which was being directed by Rishab, who is a Filmmaker & Advertising Fashion Photographer. While returning to Delhi, the crew decided to visit the Golden Temple. It was there when we actually started talking and became friends. Since we are both two different personalities, it never occurred to us then that we could think of us as more than friends, but don’t they say, never say never!
After we returned, we got more chances to work together.
And then one day, Rishab called me and asked if we could meet for coffee (and in my head, I heard a ‘date’) and I was like, “Why not! He’s single, I am single.” So, we met and talked and talked A LOT! We realized how we both have the same passion for life and career and we somehow clicked on another level. He drove me back home and while leaving, he simply kissed my hand and said bye. And it all felt so different and nice!
So, then began a series of dates, still with ‘No Label’ attached and during this time we grew together, both personally and professionally. We started pushing and motivating each other to achieve our goals because we understood how passionate we both are for our careers. We simply enjoyed each other’s company and the moments we spent together.
And, the fairytale moment came in 2019! I had spent days planning for his surprise birthday party but at the end of it, it was me who had gotten the best surprise! He proposed to me in front of our friends and I was left dumbfounded and dazzled! And like you all must have seen in the ‘proposal video’, with tears rolling down my cheeks, all I could do at that moment was just nod my head.
We got married in November 2019 and the days leading up to the D-Day were as eventful and exciting. We both knew what and how we wanted OUR day to be like – happy moments with our closed ones. And the time was exactly how we had dreamed! And here’s a glimpse of the best days of our lives!
