Are you a fan of Nickelodeon? The chances are that you might well have been, at least when you were growing up. Its the iconic TV channel that launched some major names in kids TV. Just think of the likes of Rugrats, Spongebob Squarepants, The Adventures of Pete & Pete and The Loud House. They were all Nickelodeon shows that entertained generations of children. But, sadly, we think that there are problems with Nick that we cant ignore for any longer, and that is why today we are going to tell you about Everything Wrong With Nickelodeon.
Have you ever wondered where your favorite TV shows are made? For kids growing up back in the 1990s and early 2000s, there was no need to worry. Thats because you knew that Nickelodeons programs were made at the Nickelodeon Studios, Orlando, Florida. And you could even pay them a visit, too. The very idea of the Nickelodeon Studios meant that it wasnt just a TV station - it was a place. Thats the sort of thing that makes people buy into the idea of a channel, and its not something thats happening any more.
When you think of Nickelodeon, do you think of anything other than that classic logo? Its the orange one on a splatter. If nothing else, it reflects the idea of Nickelodeon as a place where anything could happen. People cared about the logo, and it was all part of the experience. So when they changed that for a more nondescript logo, that was a mistake.
