Darnell and Bob Langley express their love and pride for all that their daughter has accomplished since a horrific car accident rendered her a paraplegic four years ago.
Bridging Bionics is more than bridging mobility to help someone with a neurological challenge regain mobility. It’s bridging community and bridging lives beyond the wheelchair, the cane, the exoskeleton, or mobility aide. As a positive value, we witness the revival of relationships, friendships and family interactions.
Disability can be socially isolating. A chronic injury or neurological impairment doesn’t mean that your mental and emotional health is doomed to decline. With our neuro-rehabilitation and performance training program, we can help our clients re-evaluate their exercise and movement regimen. Exercise raises levels of serotonin, endorphins and other chemicals that have a calming, anti-depressive effect. When you feel better physically, you’re likely to feel better emotionally as well. After sustaining a chronic neurological mobility impairment or disease, regular exercise with a trainer or physical therapist in a health club facility that promotes inclusivity and wellbeing, increases physical, mental, emotional and social engagement, and has a ripple effect beyond the client’s overall health. Caregivers, friends, and family members reap the benefits too.
