सांची के विश्व प्रसिद्ध बौद्ध स्तूप तीसरी शताब्दी ईसा पूर्व के प्रमुख बौद्ध स्मारक में एक है जिसे यूनेस्को द्वारा विश्व धरोहर की सूची में शामिल किया गया है । विश्व प्रसिद्ध बौद्ध स्तूप तीसरी शताब्दी ईसा पूर्व में मौर्य सम्राट अशोक द्वारा बनवाया गया था बाद के राजाओं ने इसके निर्माण कार्य को आगे बढ़ाया जिसमें सुंग वंश गुप्त काल और सातवाहन राजाओं का योगदान रहा । स्तूप पत्थर द्वारा निर्मित प्राचीन संरचना है, सांची परिसर में सम्राट अशोक द्वारा बनाए स्तंभ भी मौजूद हैं ।
The world famous Buddhist Stupa of Sanchi is one of the major Buddhist monuments of the 3rd century BC which has been included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO. The world famous Buddhist stupa was built by the Maurya emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. Later kings carried forward its construction work, in which the Sunga dynasty, Gupta period and Satavahana kings contributed. Stupa is an ancient structure made of stone, pillars built by Emperor Ashoka are also present in the Sanchi complex.
