Using 'Styles & Layouts' and 'Grid Layout' add-ons for Gravity Forms you can easily create 2/ Column layouts for your forms.
The plugin settings are intuitive and there is no learning curve associated with it. Once you have these plugins installed in your Wordpress site then you are all set.
The Grid Layout plugin automatically detects all the available fields in the form and gives you the option to arrange them in different layouts ( 2 column, 3 column ) as well option to set the position ( left, middle, right ).
Grid Layout addon is built on top of 'Styles & Layouts' plugin so, you need to have them both installed.
