The goggles come with a cleaning cloth, some foam pads, instructions, and a mini Bluetooth gamepad. The goggles have a plastic body and are fairly light weight at just shy of 1 lb. The goggles use elastic straps that go around the sides and top of your head that are adjustable Velcro straps. The three bands are held in place at the back of your head with a flexible plastic pad that’s not super comfortable but not very hard either. The part of the goggles that touches your face is padded with about 1/2” of cushy foam lined with mesh sport fabric. The front of the goggles has a slide panel to access your phone’s camera for augmented reality apps. On the right-hand-side you pull out the tray where you load your phone for viewing. The spring bracket inside the tray accommodates smartphones with widths from 2.5” to 3.25”. You'll have to adhere the included foam pads on this tray to keep your phone from sliding around. On top of the goggles, you can adjust the focal distance forward and back and pupil distance left and right for each eye independently.
The Bluetooth controller charges via microUSB, but a charging cable is not included with the package. Pair your phone to the controller by selecting ‘Mocute’ in the phone’s Bluetooth menu. Then load your phone into the googles and start up a VR app or 360 immersive video. What I found with the remote control is that is doesn’t perform screen taps, so if the VR app you’re using needs you to look at something and click it with a screen tap (like Goggle Cardboard's demo app), you still won’t be able to do that with this controller. You can however play certain games with the joystick and action buttons like Shadowgun VR.
The goggles with your phone in it can get kind of heavy and tiring just sitting on your face. I still like to hold the goggles with my hands from time to time to keep the weight off my face, but it’s nice that I can let go when my arms are tired. The main drawback to these goggles/controller is that there lacks a way to trigger screen taps which some apps and games need to function. The goggles do have multiple vents on the side that allow the use of charging cables and wired headphones while you're using the goggles, however. If you’re sensitive to motion sickness, using the goggles for extended periods of time may make you feel dizzy or nauseated. Also, if your phone screen or the lenses are dirty or scratched, this may detract from your viewing experience as these flaws show up magnified o n"the big screen." Overall, as a movie/photo viewer, it's great for 3D and immersive content like 360 video and photos. The unit performs well and is easy and comfortable to use.
