Get ready for one of the most ambitious ski resort projects in the world – the Amirsoy Expansion Project in Uzbekistan. This development will create Central Asia’s largest interconnected ski area, linking Amirsoy, Chimgan, and Beldersay into a mega resort with around 100 kilometers of ski runs.
Amirsoy, opened in 2019, is already Uzbekistan’s flagship winter destination, with 15 km of slopes, modern gondolas, and luxury chalets. But the expansion is on another level. A 16.8 km signature trail, new freeride zones, and modern lifts will transform the terrain. Non-ski attractions like a water park, a 2 km zipline, and restaurants with over 2,400 seats will make it a year-round attraction.
Accommodation is getting a big upgrade too, with new four-star and five-star hotels adding 350 beds. The most exciting feature? A future lift connection between Amirsoy and Beldersay – no cars needed, just ski between resorts. Chimgan and Beldersay will be fully redeveloped with new lifts, over 20 km of fresh trails, and an 80-person tram to Mount Chimgan’s 3,309 m summit.
Phase one opens winter 2025/26, with the Amirsoy–Beldersay link by 2028. Beyond this, Uzbekistan is boosting mountain tourism with projects like Zaamin ski area and developments around Charvak Lake, supported by government funding and foreign investment from companies like Switzerland’s Pro Alpina.
When complete, the Amirsoy Expansion Project will rival Europe’s best – putting Uzbekistan on the global winter sports map.
