There are around 123,000 public charging points nationwide, yet only a small percentage of the German population is satisfied with them. This is the result of a representative survey (link: https://www.vda.de/de/aktuelles/publi....

Sebastian Lahmann, Head of the Implementation Department at the National Charging Infrastructure Control Center (https://nationale-leitstelle.de/), explains why the current infrastructure is good and what measures are being taken to drive its expansion. The charging time for the Audi Q6 e-tron battery, the maximum DC charging power at HPC (High Power Charging) stations, and the added range mentioned in this podcast were determined according to DIN 70080 and can vary depending on various factors such as ambient and battery temperature, the use of different country-specific plugs, the use of the preconditioning function (e.g., remote climate control of the vehicle), the power availability at the charging station, the state of charge, and battery aging. The charging power decreases with increasing state of charge. Charging losses are taken into account.
