'Zinex' Rusty Electric Circular SAW Machine Restoration
Restoration Video Overview:
In this video, we are restoring a very old blade saw cutter machine. We found it at a junk store located in Bilal Ganj, Faisalabad, Pakistan, and brought it to our restoration room to give it new life.
First, we captured a cinematic shot of the machine. The blade was completely rusted and very old, and the plastic base was also in poor condition. However, the electrical components were functioning well, so we decided not to touch them. We removed the paint using a tweezer, which made a very satisfying sound, and then fully disassembled the saw machine.
Next, we passed the saw blade through an electrolytic process to remove the rust, followed by wire brushing, sanding, and finally polishing it with steel polish to make it shine. We then cleaned the black plastic base with a small wire brush, washed it with WD-40 anti-rust spray, and made it jet black with black ink. We also cleaned the remaining parts with a wire brush, mini wire brush, and hand sanding before applying yellow paint to them.
Finally, we successfully cleaned all the parts of the saw machine. When it was time to reassemble, we faced many difficulties. At one point, we got stuck and were worried, but after thinking and making several attempts, we finally reassembled it successfully. Lastly, we captured a cinematic shots again of final results. After shots, we tested it, and it worked like a charm.
