Why don't you take a look at our traditional custom of saving restless ghosts in Obon period?

About Obon:

About Obon dates:
In Japan Obon was originally held around July 15th on the lunar calendar, which is about August 15th on today’s solar calendar. Most places in Japan now celebrate it in August to match the original timing. But some areas stick with July 15th on the current calendar to stick with the original date.
I heard my neighbors chose the July version because they’d be busy harvesting rice in mid-August.
