President Jokowi, during his first working visit to Samosir Regency, received an extraordinary response from the people of Samosir, thousands of people flocked to welcome the President of the Republic of Indonesia in Tomok, Simanindo District.
After yesterday (20/8/2016) planted 7,500 trees in Porsea, Toba Samosir Regency, today the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo along with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK), Siti Nurbaya, and the ranks of cabinet ministers again carried out planting 1,000 trees with hundreds of high school/vocational high school students throughout Samosir Regency & Santo Mikail Catholic University in Samosir Botanical Gardens, Tomok Village, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency. On this occasion the President planted a Mangosteen tree, while the First Lady planted a Mango tree, and hundreds of students and students planted other multipurpose plants.
In his brief remarks, President Joko Widodo again invited all students and the community to plant trees and take care of them together.
