Windows Server 2022 Setup Run-Through for Hyper-V Base Image.
While there is no Hyper-V Server 2022, I want to deploy new Windows Server 2022 VMs in my lab, running on Hyper-V Server 2019. The objective here is to make an server image that has Remote Desktop enabled and Server Manager does not automatically run at startup. This gets us ready for the next step: running SYSPREP /Unattend to tweak a few more settings. That's in the next video. By the time we are done, we will have a refined parent disk image to run differencing disks representing unique VMs all based on this same base image. A simple PowerShell script can then deploy a new VM in seconds and we'll be able to RDP to it immediately after turning it on. Follow along more more Windows Server administration adventures.
