So Crimson Desert actually came out and surprised everyone by not only being a real game, but also having some of the most cutting edge graphics ever seen in a video game! this game basically supports full path tracing when you enable all the ray tracing settings, that is ray reconstruction and max lighting. It is a GPU melting game and could be the new benchmark in what is possible in certain lighting technologies. This video has a bunch of comparisons so you can see for yourself what turning on ray tracing and ray reconstruction does for the game. I tried to show as many lighting scenarios as possible for how early into the game I am, but it should give you a good idea of what is happeneing when using these settings! Let me know in the comments if there is other content from this game you would like to see, I plan on playing it a bunch!
I try to be as accurate as possible with my comparisons, and spend a lot of time lining up the clips so they are 1:1 to compare. I hope this helps you see the difference in the way the scene changes! Ray tracing, path tracing, AI generation... it's all getting to be a lot to keep up with so sit back, relax and hopefully you come out of the video with a little knowledge :D
