DHCP is defined as a network protocol which enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to a computer dynamically. It is a UDP based protocol which works on DORA Process where D stands for Discover, O for Offer, R for Request, and A for Acknowledgement. It is a protocol which is used to provide quick, automatic, and central management for the distribution of IP addresses within a network.
