Revit Tips (Day 71) - Grid (or Reference Plane) not visible? Check the angle.

Very simple. you have to cut the reference plane or gridline perpendicularly in order to see it in the section/elevation.
To adjust the video, you can draw a reference plane in that view, then rotate the view accordingly to make it 90 degrees between the Grid (or Reference Plane) with the section/elevation.
