Each junction will be assigned with random junction number when you import and create a junction. Further, if you want to number the junction in an orderly manner, there is a provision in the software to renumber the junctions. Using this feature, you can number the Junctions based on highest flow to lowest flow and differentiate End Nodes Name with different prefixes.
Click on the Junction numbering icon on the toolbar then the Junction numbering window will open. Mention Starting junction number and Prefix Letter for Junctions and click on Apply button.
You can also Exclude end Junctions in the regular Junction number series by selecting Exclude End Nodes Check box. You also have the provision to give Different prefix for End Junctions on the same screen. Then give prefix for end-node click on Apply button.
The junction Numbering feature is more suitable for Tree Network. For the Loop network, junction numbers look random as the sequence can follow only one route at a time.
In this video, you have learnt how to provide junction numbers post designing hydraulic network. In the following video, you will learn, how to export hydraulic model from Hydraulic design software.
