A-Tu, a little nine-tailed fox spirit, stumbled by accident into the mortal realm and was rescued by a kind-hearted young lady. The young lady's smile was like spring sunshine, and her eyes were full of stars. A-Tu, grateful for the young lady's help, spent years cultivating into human form so that she could return to the mortal realm. She searched high and low for her benefactor, and finally found her in the depths of a nobleman's mansion. The erstwhile young lady, now married, had lost all her youthful brilliance, and the stars were gone from her eyes. A-Tu understood that the best way to repay her benefactor's kindness was to fight against her abuser alongside her, and to let her become her true self again...
