Android Apps Come to ChromeOS - Evernote and Sight Words Reviewed

Google announced released the first round of Android Apps that can run on ChromeOS today. In this video I will take a closer look at Evernote and Sight Reader. I will update with additional apps that look interesting in the near future.
I thought initially that Google would open up the Google Play Store to ChromeOS users - but that apparently isn't the case here. Instead Google will be releasing select apps on the Chrome store.
The apps run nicely, but they feel a little disjointed. Evernote in particular feels very beta and needs some work especially when it comes to viewing PDF files. The Android apps can be run in multiple windows making it easy to switch between running apps. But the windows can't be resized. So things will appear a little small on Chrome devices on larger 1080p displays.
It's an interesting start. I wonder if Android developers will begin to fork their apps to have a better ChromeOS desktop/laptop experience moving forward.
