PRESENTATION OF THE CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY COURSE
The Clinical Analysis laboratory is an important component in the context of public health, as it provides the clinician with support for questions arising from the clinical history and physical examination of each individual. In this scenario, Biochemistry can be considered the heart of a clinical analysis laboratory, since approximately 60 to 70% of the daily tests requested and performed derive from it. Therefore, it is increasingly necessary for the professional who performs such analyses to be better prepared, enabling a complete understanding of the process of performing tasks, from the acquisition of a sample free of pre-analytical interferents to adequate patient preparation, as well as the collection, transportation and proper handling of samples, through strict quality control that will guarantee that the tests do not contain significant errors, ensuring that all steps are followed until the final result is released to the client.
OBJECTIVE
This course aims to serve professionals from various areas of Health, who work in the Biochemistry sector in the Clinical Laboratory, in order to update theoretical knowledge in routine tests.

PROFESSOR
Prof. Danilo Carlos Ribeiro, M.Sc.
He holds a master's degree in Parasitology from Unicamp (2011) and a degree in Biomedicine from the Herminio Ometto University Center in Araras (2004). He is currently a biomedical scientist at Laboratório Paulista. He has experience in the area of Clinical Analysis, with an emphasis on Parasitology and Biochemistry, working mainly on the following topics: parasitic diseases, rural workers and protozoan diseases.
