Microsoft is expected to release Windows 12 in 2024, three years after the release of Windows 11. The new operating system will have a new user interface, deeper AI integration, improved Windows Explorer and Notepad, and support for touch-screen devices and keyboards. The system requirements for Windows 12 will be 4 GB or more of RAM, TPM 2.0, 64 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM, 1 GHz CPU clock speed, 64-bit SOC or CPU with two or more cores, 720p resolution display with more than 9 inches size, Secure Boot support in system firmware using UEFI, DirectX 12 or later, and WDDM-compatible graphics card.
Here are some of the new features and improvements that are expected in Windows 12:
A new user interface with a floating taskbar and a status bar that looks like macOS
Deeper AI integration with features like ChatGPT and DALL-E 2
Improved Windows Explorer and Notepad with tab support
Support for touch-screen devices and keyboards
The Control panel will also be included in the Settings tab
The problem with installing Android using the Amazon app will be fixed
The system requirements for Windows 12 are expected to be slightly higher than those for Windows 11. This is to ensure that the new operating system can run smoothly on modern hardware.
