Tencent Docs - A Viable Google Docs Replacement In China?
Tencent has a file-collaboration tool similar to Google Docs, but it works a lot better in China. These are the key things it does better:
1) It has lots of templates tailored to a Chinese audience. For example, the resume template is a Chinese-style resume complete with height, ethnicity, and a photo—fields not often found on Western resumes. It’s just an example, but here at NMG, we don’t care about how tall or small our employees are.
2) It’s easy to share. It lets us share via WeChat, QQ, link, and QR code.
3) It works as a WeChat mini-program. This means that no separate app install or signup is required.
4) It consistently loads fast within China, without a VPN.
