It's an easy example what to talk about when getting to know a girl. The conversation at the beginning is to build rapport. I.e. to get onto the same wavelength.
We just have been talking for about 3 minutes, but it feels like we'd known each other for long. That's rapport. We learned a lot of facts about each other, too. However - very important - there where no interview questions like, "What do you do for living?"
The next step is to build comfort. I.e. not only to know each other but also to understand each other and having an emotional connection. Comfort builds trust. And comfort is what makes people falling in love. Yes, you read right! Comfort makes one fall in love, not attraction.
A very easy way to build first comfort is making her telling things about herself; things she hasn't telled to others yet. It hasn't to be something intimate, just something personal, something about her. Here we've got some examples for this superficial comfort.
It's always a good idea to talk about several topics to get some fallbacks for later on.
The cran story first of all is a classical DHV-story. It shows to her that I am an adventurous person, have female friends and can stay calm even in difficult situations. These all are attractive attributes for a male. I also show that I don't abandon my friends. Thereby I set the frame that she can trust me.
I walk with her in her direction to keep her dynamic. So I avoid that she suddenly has to go.
Now I'm leaving the surface and start to build deeper comfort.
After you've got a number you shouldn't leave immediately but find a soft end. Her last impression is the most important one and it should not be, "We exchanged phone numbers." but, "We had a great conversation." You'll see one last trick how to increase the probability to see her again: When saying goodbye remind her what's the next step in your interaction, e.g. how and when you'll get in touch with her or where and when you'll meet again.
