Here’s what he had to say:
Joshua started working with Asana 3 years ago.
When he joined the company, they had no community program. They had a small forum, which for SaaS companies, is where their community program begins and ends.
To him, a community forum was a very important part of a community program.
But it is only one part.
He started to really listen to Asana’s existing customers who were really excited about the platform.
He asked them what they wanted, what they were looking for, and what an Asana community program could bring to them.
The goal was to craft a program that met the customers where they were.
He wanted to provide them with resources to help them feel successful, and ultimately, advocate on their behalf.
What they ended up developing was a community of brand ambassadors who were eager to advocate for Asana within their own networks.
