PS3 Slim Upgrading HDD To 1 TB

put folder PS on to usb stick
hold down power button and do this until you hear a double beep upon which let go as soon as double beep heard
now choose from menu restore system option 5
say yes to confirm and this will format your drive use the usb and put in ps3 to update it on next boot
no software is needed to format your drive i didnt need any!
always check for latest firmware on ps3 site

make sure you back up your files if you wish to restore to your new drive i chose to keep it clean as pos for now on my upgrade and can do a restore later when i get an external hdd to do the back / restore part.
