Hello, dear needlewomen!
This is Natalia Alimpieva, the author of the website http://Club-MK.ru. Today I have a real New Year's gift for you - we are starting to knit a carpet, the author of which is Agnieszka from Magic Carpet Studio. The carpets of this author are widely known in Russia, here, look for yourself, you have probably seen photos of these projects:
perhaps the most famous - "Square carpet", which is knitted from the outer edge to the center;
"Shell carpet"
"Owl carpet"
"Fish scales"
And many others...
Subscribers to my YouTube channel have repeatedly asked me to make a video of Agnieszka's master classes. And now I managed to contact her and get permission to shoot and publish the video. Thank you, Agnieszka! Dziękuję, Agnieszka!
Agnieszka lives in Poland, in the city of Gdansk.
The address of her website is: http://magiccarpetstudio.blogspot.ru/. There you will find detailed photo master classes on all her carpets. The link to the website is in the description of the video.
And today we are starting to analyze this carpet - "Green Mandala". I will knit from a polyester cord with a diameter of 5 mm and a hook No. 8. I do not yet know what size my carpet will be. In the author's description it is said that the size of the carpet is about 1.3 m.
Such a carpet will require
about 250 m of white
about 500 m of khaki
about 150 m of dark green
about 100 m of light green
I'm afraid that I will not be able to strictly adhere to the specified shades, but will use the remains of the cord from previous projects. Therefore, the coloring of my carpet will be slightly different from the author's.
But let's not waste time and start knitting!
