Tackling a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device with the Resolve Raman Analyzer
This video demonstrates the capabilities of the Resolve handheld Raman analyzer and the Alford BootBanger™️ and FireBreak™️ when called to respond to a suspicious device found in an abandoned vehicle. Early identification of potentially hazardous objects is vital for the safety, efficiency, and critical decision-making involved in EOD (explosive ordinance disposal). Remote operational control ensures operator safety, enabling Resolve’s handheld through-barrier Raman identification to positively identify hazardous materials through opaque barriers from a safe distance. Using unique optical technology, the Resolve Raman system reduces the risk of igniting sensitive explosives; and not disturbing the container means hazards are contained, reducing the risk to the public.
