ALEX RIDER Season 3 Release Set for 2022 on Amazon’s IMDb TV: Which Anthony Horowitz Book Is Next?
Hey, guys! In case you loved the second season of Alex Rider as much as we did, we are excited to let you know that Season 3 is already in development. IMDb TV, owned by Amazon, the show’s original home, is yet to OFFICIALLY announce the Season 3 renewal, but it’s only a matter of time. In case you don’t know the backstory, the British spy series is based on the same-name book series by Anthony Horowitz. To date, there are 13 novels, with the most recent, Nightshade, released last year. The first novel, Stormbreaker was adapted into the 2006 movie with British actor Alex Pettyfer as the lead. As for the Amazon series, Season 1 was based on the second book, Point Blanc, and Season 2 – on the fourth book, Eagle Strike. Regardless of which novel Amazon chooses to adapt for Season 3, it will be a fun ride. Part of the show’s appeal is great casting. 25-year old English actor Otto Farrant is VERY good as the lead character – endearing but tough and resilient. Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo and Brenock O'Connor complement Farrant perfectly as Alex’s support team. On IMDb the series has a high approval rating 7.6 out of 10, and while Alex Rider doesn’t pretend to be a masterpiece, it’s a very enjoyable espionage series tailored to young adults.
