Voir la Vérité, or See the Truth, is a stark soundtrack to the grave long-term global conflicts that are shaping the stories of our time, and our identity. It is a sonic mirror to the chaos, both personal, social, and political, in an era shaped by capitalism, patriarchy, and the covert, modern day imperialism of past colonizers. In this landscape, identity becomes a site of tension and negotiation, where memory, history, and power collide. It is formed not only through lived experience, but also through inherited narratives, cultural displacement, resistance, and survival. As borders blur and inequalities deepen, the self is constantly redefined, caught between imposed structures and the search for the authentic self, dignity, and voice.

Amid the massive injustice that is unfolding across the world, this song also celebrates the dreams and the voices of one and the many. It reflects the weight of inequality and silenced truths, where systems of power continue to marginalize and erase.

Yet, within this struggle, it holds space for hope, resilience, and collective memory.

This song is also a tribute to the bold spirit of people of our country and of the world who continue to rise in pursuit of freedom and justice, refusing to be erased, and fighting for meaningful change.

It may feel like there’s only a few of us, but put together we are many. When one voice rises, it inspires another; and when many rise together, we become a force. And when this force grow into millions, we know what it can do, it can change the course of history.

There is no other way to live than to strive to become the authors of our own stories. There is no room for frustration or apathy, only intention and mindful action. And perhaps, in the end, all we can truly say is, "I did my part". That, in itself, is enough, if each one of us commits to doing our small parts right.

The power of an individual’s voice should never be underestimated. For it is the quiet, persistent efforts of one, the seemingly small acts, put together, has repeatedly shaped human history in the past, and will continue to do so in the times ahead.

And finally, the one true path of light awaits us all, like the great The Bangladeshi mystic Baul poet Lalon Fakir said, “In loving humanity, you discover the best within self”.

Lyrics:

Intro Line from beloved Baul poet Lalon Fakir: মানুষ ভজলে সোনার মানুষ হবি

Yo, the best things in life are for free
Remember the bushmen in "The Gods Must Be Crazy"
Little money don’t always equal misery
But somehow the world still stuck in this history
People killing just to win some land and control
And Resources, and power, playing chess with your soul
Calling it “self-defense” on the evening news
While the world watches helpless not knowing how to pay the dues
Fear is a commodity, and they are selling it in headlines,
Turning pain into reels, and monetizing crimes

They are feeding on the meat of the helpless and the weak
While kids grow up learning violence before they can even speak
At the cost of a future that’s drowning in mess,
Broken promises, pressure, and political stress
A Doomed education system with doomed values,
Doomed powers wearing masks they hardly can balance
’Bout to peel off any second, and expose all of the greed
Reveal repetitive injustice written deep in the creed

My life is not for you to, play around with
Our votes aren’t for you to rob other with
Well it’s got to stop now, cause it’s time we realize
You can do what you do, because we let you to

Politicians play games with humanitarian aid
While corporations profit from graves that they have made
Climate on fire, oceans full of plastic
But the rich still go on shopping like it’s fantastic
We are praying for peace while we are funding the war
Posting sympathies while we have kept no doors ajar
With hearts heavy we ain't ready to rest the case
But not willing to share power, land, or space
One in three women carry scars they never chose
Yet courts move slow while another headline grows

See the system’s designed to divide and distract
Keep us busy with trivia while signing deadly contracts
But we gotta know and believe in the power of citizen’s voice
Every word is a weapon, every verse a choice
I see women rising, voices breaking chains
Young people with dreams much bigger than the galactic reins
Grassroots power in the streets and the schools
Turning broken systems into community tools
From refugee camps to the concrete blocks of our city

From protest signs to slogans and graffiti
We gotta be planting hope in most abandoned of grounds
Turning all of the silence into revolutionary sound

They told us stay quiet, stay in your lane
But history is written by the ones who have taken the pain
Who organize, mobilize, heal and resist
Turn now your open palms into revolutionary fists
