Base 5 (Quinary Number System, Conversions & Arithmetic)
This foundations of math video explains the quinary number system (base 5). We show how to convert base 5 to base 10 (quinary into decimal) and base 10 to base 5. We also show how to perform base 5 addition and base 5 subtraction without having to convert to decimal. Most people have already worked with a base 5 system whenever they have used tally marks.
