Plex Server comparison between a DS1520+ server and an 11th gen Intel NUC Unraid Plex server
The Synology DS1520+ has a Celeron J4125 with Intel's UHD 600 iGPU.
The New Intel Nuc has the 11th gen Intel mobile i5-1135G7 CPU which has the Iris Xe iGPU on board.
The NAS has been upgraded to 16GB's of RAM, although there is still conjecture on whether that's a benefit over the original 8GB's the unit came with.
The little Unraid NUC has 32GB's of DDR4 Ram in it, which I believe is overkill besides using half of it for Plex transcoding.
NUC11PABi5 is the NUC model and I picked it up bare.
