Beilstein test
The Beilstein test is perhaps the simplest and most qualitative method for determining halogens: chlorine, bromine, iodine in a sample (except fluorine). This method is based on the formation of volatile copper halides, which in turn color the flame green, the detection limit of halogen in an organic compound is less than 0.1 μg, which in turn is a very sensitive analysis.
